Nicola leads a team of five receptionists in our Woodley office. She’s likely to be one of the first people you speak to when you enquire with us.
Nicola has a wealth of experience in speaking to people who are feeling unsure about talking to a solicitor for the first time. She’ll listen to the reasons you’re calling and book you in for a consultation with a solicitor who can help. She’s understanding and approachable and will settle any nerves you may feel about taking this first step.
As our lead receptionist, Nicola has a dual role. She answers the phones to clients and makes sure they meet a lawyer in the area of law they need. But she also has an eye for improving the way we do things. Nicola is particularly organised and systematic, and is very proactive at finding more efficient ways to serve our clients.
From managing team calendar entries to arranging consultations and fielding calls, Nicola spots ways to streamline our systems and make the experience for clients as straightforward as possible.
Q: Outside of work, what are your hobbies and interests?
A: I enjoy swimming, walking, and gardening to stay active. I also enjoy decorating around the house and relaxing with Netflix. I love live music events, the theatre, and going travelling when I can.
Q: What’s the most interesting item on your desk right now?
A: My antique Cisco phone.
Q: What’s something random about you that your colleagues wouldn’t know?
A: I have served the Queen and Prince Philip Earl Grey tea. She was dressed in lemon. I know the 'Stig' (from Top Gear), as I was at school with his dad.
