Kulbir is a Senior Partner at KJS Solicitors, and she is the Head of our Ascot office.
She has specialised in family law for over 30 years, working in the City and at high street firms since she qualified in 1989. Kulbir is a collaboratively trained lawyer.
Kulbir works across the full spectrum of family law cases, including pre-and post-nuptial agreements, cohabitation agreements, and civil partnerships. Her particular area of interest lies in supporting couples and families through the process of divorce or separation.
Kulbir has the experience to deal pragmatically with the complex financial issues that arise in matrimonial cases, such as any international elements or inherited assets. But she’s empathetic in dealing with sensitive matters involving children and relationship breakdown.
Clients describe her as ‘professional at all times’, yet always ‘approachable’. She is a ‘calm voice of reason in the storm of emotions.’ Kulbir’s clients appreciate her personable approach and her unwavering responsiveness at key moments.
One particular highlight in Kulbir’s career was helping a client escape her relationship with a coercively controlling husband. Having kept in touch with this client, Kulbir has since helped her to flourish in her career as a lawyer.
A Legal 500 recommended lawyer and a Family Law Panel member. Kulbir is accredited with the Help & Support for Separated Families Mark (HSSF Mark), which identifies professionals who promote collaboration between parents. It’s a testament to the way Kulbir supports separating parents to work in the best interests of their children. Kulbir also provides pro bono advice outside of normal working hours.
As a leader in the business, Kulbir mentors colleagues throughout their careers. She enjoys seeing colleagues flourish in their work and develop the confidence and skills to support our clients with collaboration and compassion.
Kulbir is able to offer face-to-face meetings by appointment in Richmond at our private members' club, which is located on the banks of the River Thames and offers comfortable and discreet facilities. Please let our Reception Team know if you would prefer to meet Kulbir here, and we will be happy to arrange this for you.
