Claire is a lynchpin of KJ Smith and supports Senior Management in running the firm.
She schedules appointments and meetings and prepares board minutes for our meetings. Claire also plays a key role in our recruitment process, helping us find and hire the right people for the firm.
Another of Claire’s important roles is ‘Chief Fun Planner’, and she organises all of our social events and team-building days. One of the bi-annual highlights for everyone at KJ Smith is the Summer and Winter parties, and Claire always makes sure that these events exceed expectations.
Claire is one of those people who knows everybody, from colleagues across the offices to clients who walk through the door. She is approachable and friendly, and creates the culture of care that we pride ourselves on at KJ Smith.
Q: Outside of work, what are your hobbies and interests?
A: I combine my passion for travel and sport and I like to attend various sporting events – here and abroad. I’ve been to tennis Grand Slams and the Commonwealth Games.
Q: What’s the most interesting item on your desk right now?
A: It’s a coaster which says “And Breathe”, as a little reminder every day. It was a gift.
Q: What is something about you that your colleagues wouldn’t know?
A: I was one of the founders of Wargrave Girls Football Club, which is now the largest female-only football club in the country. It has 500+ players. I started it back in 2000, when my daughter was 9 years old.
