Callum joined K J Smith Solicitors in July 2025 as a Family Paralegal based at our head office in Woodley (Reading). He assists the firm’s solicitors across a wide range of family law matters, supporting the smooth progression of client cases through careful preparation, document drafting and client communication.
Having studied Law with a Year Abroad at Cardiff University from 2020 to 2024, Callum spent time in both Cardiff and Madrid, where he developed a strong interest in family law through his work with Support Through Court and Victim Support. Following graduation, he completed the Bar Training Course to further his ambition of becoming a barrister. His academic and voluntary experience gave him valuable insight into the real life impact of family law on individuals and families, an understanding he now applies daily in his work with K J Smith.
Callum is known for his approachable nature, professionalism and enthusiasm for client care. He takes pride in providing clear, practical support and finds great satisfaction in helping clients feel understood and reassured through challenging times. Growing up in Woodley, he was familiar with the firm’s reputation for excellence and community focus, and he is proud to now be part of that team.
Q: What do you enjoy most about working at K J Smith?
A: Definitely the people. No matter how busy the day gets, everyone is friendly, supportive and full of energy. It is a great atmosphere to be part of.

A: Yorkshire Tea every time, nothing else comes close.
Q: Outside of work, what are your hobbies or interests that you're passionate about?
A: I love playing rugby for my new team Maidenhead RFC and riding my road bike on the weekends. On top of my passion for multiple sporting endeavours, I thoroughly enjoy travelling and look forward to visiting other new countries in 2026!
