Bethany Williams

Solicitor

KJSmithNovAscot (80 of 96)

Bethany joined K J Smith in October 2025 and works as a Solicitor in our Ascot office. She advises clients on a wide range of family law matters, offering clear, strategic guidance and compassionate support throughout each stage of their case. Her approach focuses on combining legal expertise with reassurance, ensuring clients feel heard, understood, and confident as they navigate difficult circumstances.

With a background that includes experience across several areas of law, as well as working as a specialist support worker at Citizens Advice during the Covid-19 pandemic, Bethany brings a strong foundation in both legal analysis and people-centred support. It was during this time that she discovered her passion for helping individuals through complex and emotionally charged situations. After completing her legal studies and training contract, she made the bold decision to qualify early as a solicitor in order to pursue a career in family law. She has since gained experience in financial settlements, child arrangements, injunction proceedings and multi-issue cases, all of which have strengthened her confidence and capability as an advocate for clients during challenging periods.

Bethany is known for her calm, empathetic nature and her ability to connect with clients while maintaining the clear boundaries needed in family law. She values the firm’s supportive and collaborative environment and appreciates the opportunity to work alongside colleagues who share a commitment to delivering exceptional client care. She was surprised by how quickly she felt part of the team at K J Smith, and credits the firm’s friendly culture for helping her settle in so seamlessly.

Outside of fee-earning, Bethany is committed to ongoing professional development and keeps up to date with legal changes through Resolution, Lexis Nexis and The Law Society Gazette. She believes strongly in staying curious, seeking guidance when needed, and encouraging others at the start of their legal careers to do the same.

Bethany is based at our Ascot office.
