Arabella is a Senior Solicitor and Head of our Winchester office. She’s highly experienced and has specialised in family law since she qualified in 2015 and started her career in the City.
She has dealt with complex financial issues between married and unmarried couples in the UK and internationally. Many of her cases have involved Children Act proceedings, such as negotiating contact for grandparents and managing international relocation. However, Arabella’s work spans the full spectrum of family law.
Our clients appreciate Arabella’s pragmatic approach, delivered with empathy and good humour. Arabella understands what it feels like to contact a solicitor for the first time and go through the emotional upheaval of a personal legal issue. Her first contact with the law was when she went through a divorce herself. Certain that she could do a better job than her own matrimonial lawyer, Arabella began her legal training.
With Arabella, your matter is in a safe pair of hands, and with somebody who will give you practical advice with sensitivity and understanding.
Unlike many other lawyers, Arabella has had a range of previous roles. She had a successful career in the global fashion industry, during which time she produced her own shirt label and ran her own design company. Later, she set up a kids’ café and arts centre in London and ran a networking business for women returning to the workplace after having children.
We might call her an all-around overachiever, but she does make for an excellent lawyer who champions her clients to get the best result for them.

Q: What’s the most interesting item on your desk right now?
A: A sparkly pink makeup bag. I don’t really do pink, but this was a gift. Everything I own is black, cream or taupe, but I love my makeup bag because now I can find it easily.
Q: Who would be your dream dinner party guests, and why?
A: I have a few! First on the list would be Lady Hale, the trailblazing judge. Then maybe Françoise Hardy, the French singer-songwriter, actress, and free spirit. Then to pick just one more, it would be Claire Keegan, a wonderful Irish writer. She wrote ‘Small things like these’ and ‘So late in the day.
Q: Outside of work, what are your hobbies?
A: I’m rebuilding my house and designing the garden around it. I also like to read whenever I have the time.
