Dan is an Associate Solicitor in our Family Law team. He handles matters of divorce and separation, and the associated child arrangements and financial settlements.
As an experienced solicitor, Dan has helped many people find amicable resolutions to their disputes, no matter how complex their situation. With the benefit of his years in practice, he considers creative solutions that others may overlook, so that his clients reach a workable compromise.
Dan is accredited by Resolution in the areas of Children Law – Private, and complex lower-income financial remedies, which means that he takes a collaborative approach to resolving family disputes. His conciliatory approach often works to de-escalate conflict and find common ground, particularly where children are involved. He has an excellent eye for detail and is meticulous in capturing settlement arrangements concisely, no matter how complicated they may first appear.
Dan is recognised as one of the top lawyers in the region, being the Hampshire Law Society’s runner-up Junior Lawyer of the Year in 2022. At KJ Smith, he is a highly valued colleague, and he is on the path to becoming a leader in the business.

Q: Outside of work, what are your hobbies and interests?
A: I’m mad about playing golf! And I love to play fantasy American Football.
Q: What’s the most interesting thing on your desk right now?
A: A small golf bag-style penholder, for all my special pens.

A: I can juggle.
