Important notice regarding Coronavirus (Covid-19)

We wish to reassure all of our existing and future clients that we remain open for business, with our respective branch offices working with state-of-the-art technology.

Our expert family lawyers continue to offer their technical expertise at this difficult time, and we can assure you that the current situation will not hamper our ability to continue to deliver the exceptional service upon which we have built our reputation.

Safeguarding the health and welfare of our clients and employees

Our priority is the health and safety of our clients and our employees during this crisis. With this in mind, we have put various measures in place to ensure that each of our offices can continue to meet our clients' needs, whilst enabling employees to work remotely where necessary.

We continue to encourage the use of telephone, Facetime, Zoom, MeetMe and email communication

The use of Facetime, Zoom, MeetMe and telephone meetings means we are just as able to respond to your needs promptly and all initial steps for instruction can be undertaken remotely.

Simply call your nearest office and we will arrange a telephone or video consultation with one of our expert solicitors as soon as possible.

Changes to court procedure

You may have been concerned by recent news reports regarding the effect of the Coronavirus on the court system. In fact, hearings can almost always take place by telephone or video conferencing. Rest assured that all of our lawyers already have access to the conferencing facilities that the family courts are using; your case can therefore proceed in the normal way and you should not hesitate to contact us exactly as you would have done had Covid-19 not arisen.

Our IT infrastructure

We have a state-of-the art IT infrastructure based around two UK data centres (away from our own offices) which facilitate secure and full remote system access and inter-branch communications from anywhere. In addition, we operate a fully digital case management system which enables our solicitors to share work securely between any office or home location.

Our pledge

In view of the seriousness of the current situation, the KJS Management team is fully committed to a programme of ongoing review so that we can continue to adapt to meet our clients' needs. Please be assured that we are continually reviewing our working practices in line with the most current guidance from the Government and Public Health England.
