The right time to send a warning letter

A warning letter is the final step in trying to resolve a situation amicably.

You might want us to write a warning letter for you if:

  • You want to ask someone to change their behaviour
  • You want to take your children abroad and the other parent won’t agree
  • You’re asking someone to contacting you by phone, text, or social media

It’s a last resort before you issue court proceedings.

It may not be the right course of action in every situation though. If your situation is urgent, and you or your children are in danger, it may be better to apply for an urgent application.

We’re here to support you

It can be hard to decide if a warning letter is the right next step. We listen to you and talk to you about the details of your situation.

Once we have all the facts, we can discuss whether or not we think a warning letter will be helpful in your position.

If it is, then we can draft and send it for you.

If another course of action is better, we’ll explain what we think we should do and let you make an informed decision.
