Managing Director
Karen Harvey is the Managing Director of K J Smith Solicitors. She started her career in Family Law in 1990, qualifying as a Chartered Legal Executive before completing the LPC at the College of Law, Guildford.
Karen was admitted as a Solicitor in 1998 and has held a variety of senior roles, assisting clients with all aspects of family law including complex financial matters, pensions, inherited assets, high net worth and property issues.
In addition to her legal role, Karen has extensive experience at company board level and has a demonstrable record of adding value by contributing to the strategic aims of businesses. As a specialist in business development, she has an aptitude for identifying and developing commercial growth opportunities and is proud of her people-centric approach to business management. An ardent supporter of the ‘Investor in People’ framework, Karen believes in fostering a culture where employees feel valued within a team and where they are supported to reach their own personal potential.
