Cecilia Andrei

Paralegal

(She/her/hers) KJS 9th May 2 (15 of 24)

Cecilia is a Paralegal and she carries out important tasks on all of the client matters in the Oxford office.

She has worked on a number of family law cases, including divorce proceedings, and child arrangements. She often helps colleagues to prepare the relevant documents for financial disclosure to help clients find fair financial settlements.

Before she started her career in law, Cecilia studied Politics at university and then completed a Master’s degree in International Human Rights Law. She spent time in the Middle East working on human rights issues, and then decided that she wanted to train as a lawyer.

She has previously worked in family law firms where she worked on cases of child abduction. Cecilia’s experience in this international aspect of child law is invaluable, and she enjoys helping clients on the international elements of their cases. She has also helped asylum seekers to find safe refuge, away from the threat of torture and trafficking.

Cecilia’s varied and interesting experiences to date make her an astute, and empathetic paralegal. She has experience beyond her years with attending court for hearings, appeals, and even judicial review cases.

Cecilia is currently working towards her Solicitors Qualifying Exam and we hope that she remains with the firm when she qualifies.

Cecilia Andrei is based at our Oxford office.

Get to know Cecilia:

Q: Outside of work, what are your hobbies and interests?

A: I enjoy nature walks and writing; sometimes creative writing and some other times just thoughts about life or plans for the future. I like spending time discovering new artists and creating playlists. I love live music too. I also enjoy visiting cat cafes, travelling and learning languages.

Q: Who would be your dream dinner party guests, and why?

A: I would love to meet the former Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court, Fatou Bensouda. I would have so many questions for her, and would love to hear how she personally felt in relation to all the political pressure on her office, in light of the high profile and sensitive nature of her cases. We would probably need a bit of a break and change in tone after a serious conversation, so I think Graham Norton would be a good guest to have around!

Q: What’s something random about you that your colleagues wouldn’t know?

A: I was in a Beatles cover band when I was a teenager!
