David is a Consultant specialising in Wills, Trusts and Probate. He works across all our offices.
David graduated from Exeter University in 1998 and thereafter completed his Legal Practice Course at the College of Law in London, achieving a distinction. Prior to joining K J Smith Solicitors, David built up considerable experience working as a Solicitor in the Thames Valley. David has extensive experience and expertise in Wills and Trusts, Administration of Estates (Probate), Lasting and Enduring Powers of Attorney, Deputyship Applications, Inheritance Tax Planning and advice in relation to Care Costs.
David is committed to delivering the highest levels of client care during what can be very difficult and distressing times. He handles all clients with sensitivity and compassion. David is experienced in handling all matters ranging from the relatively straightforward to the highly complex.
David is a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP), an internationally recognised organisation whose members consist of accountants and lawyers and who are specially qualified to advise on and assist with Private Client matters. He is also a member of Solicitors for the Elderly (SFE), a specialist group of lawyers who are qualified to advise elderly clients on matters of particular concern to them.

All our offices are easily accessible by road, rail or bus and we are open Monday to Friday from 8:30am to 6:00pm. With today's busy schedules, we offer telephone appointments outside normal office hours until 9pm on Thursdays and between 10am and 3pm on Saturdays.
